We provided turnkey air quality monitoring station solutions for the Kharmagtai Copper Gold Project at the project site.  Incorporating air quality monitoring during the project design phase is essential for identifying potential environmental and health risks early. It allows project teams to establish baseline conditions, predict impacts, and integrate effective mitigation measures into the design. This proactive approach ensures compliance with regulations, protects local communities and ecosystems, and supports sustainable, responsible development from the outset.

O2 Mining installed two automated TSI Air Quality Monitors at the Bayan Khundii Project in partnership with Erdene Resource Development Corp. and its Mongolian subsidiary. These monitors provide real-time data to support dust suppression efforts and form the foundation for a robust Air Quality Management Plan, as part of the site’s Detailed Environmental Impact Assessment.
Local labour was engaged for the installation, fostering community involvement and raising awareness around air quality monitoring. The advanced TSI system measures PM1, PM2.5, PM10, total particulate matter, and gases including CO₂, CO, NO, and NO₂. This real-time data enables proactive risk management and enhances safety for workers and nearby communities.
This installation reflects O2 and Erdene’s strong commitment to environmental stewardship and opens the door for participatory monitoring to promote transparency and informed community dialogue.

Alluvial Gold Project

ODOD Gold Project - Mongolia
In 2019, O2 Mining subsidiary, SES Resources LLC secured an alluvial gold operations contract in Bayankhongor Province.  We were able to mobilise only a few weeks after contract award, develop access into and set up a new site, and commence production.  Mid season we finished mining on the first license and demobilised the camp and relocated to another license and commenced operations where we stayed through to the end of the season.  By the end of the season, through our dedication and innovation, we had helped our client increase production threefold.  And we achieved this without any recordable injuries (medical treatments or lost time injuries).  We are exceptionally proud of what the team was able to achieve during the production season.
